Bengal Tigers Photography Tour

Day 1
At midday we will meet you at Nagpur Airport or at your nearby hotel, and transfer you to your luxury lodge next to Tadoba National Park; arguably India’s best park for encountering Bengal Tigers.
Upon arrival at the lodge in the late afternoon, you will have time to freshen up before a delicious dinner, followed by a short briefing from our trip leader about what to expect over the coming days in Tadoba.  The evening is yours to prepare cameras, socialize at the bar, or take a stroll through the grounds.

Days 2-5
After a light pre-breakfast of fruit and tea we will head straight into the park to try to catch tigers on the move, returning from their nocturnal hunt. After a couple of hours concentrating on dawn wildlife, you will be served a more substantial breakfast inside the park to keep you going until lunchtime.

Just before noon, we will return to the lodge for lunch, then head back into the park to track more tigers until dusk. The magic hour before sunset is when the tigers glow in the warm orange light.
While tracking tigers, we will keep a look out for Tadoba’s other iconic species such as leopards, sloth bears, dholes, and numerous antelope and deer species – a favorite food of Tadoba’s tigers!
Dinner will be served in the early evening, leaving plenty of time to download images and relax before drifting off into dreams of Bengal Tigers.

Days 6
After a final tiger safari in Tadoba National Park, we will head back to Nagpur Airport and fly to Guwahati.

Days 7
After breakfast in Guwahati, we will head to the lodge at Kaziranga National Park for lunch and then head into the park for your first encounters with the iconic one-horned rhinos and asiatic elephants. Rather than fleeting glimpses of wildlife, at fabulous Kaziranga you can expect to see many rhinos and countless elephants and other large endemic wildlife.

Days 8
Today, you will have a full day in the lush green landscapes of Kaziranga National Park photographing rhinos, elephants, and much more. Potential species you may encounter include Indian gaur, swamp deer, barking deer, smooth-coated otters, wild water buffalo, jungle cats, Bengal tigers, leopards, and sloth bears.

Day 9
Be prepared for an early start as we will drive to a forested region near Kaziranga known for its diversity of primates. In this particular area, we’ll go for an easy walk through the forest to look for endemic Hoolock Gibbons, Capped Langurs, Assamese macaques, Stump-tailed Macaques, and Pigtailed Macaques.

After lunch, we’ll return to Kaziranga National Park for more time with Indian one-horned rhinos!

Day 10
After one more immersive safari with the wonderful wildlife of Kaziranga National Park, we will bring you back to Guwahati Airport in time for your evening flight.
